It's been a wild 2 months. The conversion of my garage into a Speakeasy was complete. I threw a soft opening with friends (vinyl listening room vibes plus ice cream and caviar). My home has been on two big home awards tour. These were a huge success! I've hosted my first Lunar New Years party. Rented my home for a commercial photo shoot for Keleigh Teller's pajama company. And hosted 4 SXSW events.
Wow, I actually didn't realize I'd done all that till I wrote it out just now. No wonder I'm tired!
I've had some beautiful and heartwarming compliments and conversations around the curation and energy in my home. Ah, the sweet sweet validation! As I write this, I'm acknowledging for the first time this full circle moment. There were times I never thought I'd get here. It's actually beyond anything I ever imagined.
I'm consistently asked, "Why do you do this? How do you handle so many people in your home?" Well, let me tell ya :)
I realized most people feel their best in spaces that hold a certain duality.
Calm, but energizing. Intimate, yet open.
The home is a space where people feel safe enough to let their guard down. That's where the magic happens, and the real stories can be told. That's what makes life so special — the unexpected moments that feel serendipitous.
One conversation can change your life.
And yes, there's a strategy behind it.
The Flywheel
Real estate → funds the experiences
Experiences → build relationships
Relationships → create opportunities
Opportunities → grow the business
But it goes deeper than that. When you're in my home, you're experiencing how I operate.
- The energy
- The details
- The intention
That's not accidental. That's the same experience you get working with me:
- Thoughtful
- High attention to detail
- Warm
- Fun
- And always a feeling of being taken care of
I also use this space to highlight incredible people. Friends. Brands. Businesses doing meaningful work.
Because I don't believe in gatekeeping. If I trust something, I want to share with my community. After 18 years in real estate, I've learned people don't just want a house. They want a life that feels celebratory, surrounded by good company. So I curate experiences. I make introductions. I share my world.
At its core, hospitality is:
- Anticipating needs before they're spoken
- Making people comfortable immediately
- Creating a sense of belonging
- Paying attention to small details
- Being thoughtful without being overbearing
It's not about impressing people. It's about removing friction so they can relax and be themselves. A good host says, without words: "You're safe here. I've thought about you."
When someone experiences real hospitality, they feel:
- Seen
- Relaxed
- Valued
- Comfortable
- Connected
That's what they remember.
Inviting people into your home is powerful. It says:
"I trust you."
"You belong here."
"This space is meant to be shared."
Hospitality builds connection faster than almost anything else.
Being hospitable isn't just about hosting. It communicates:
- You're attentive
- You value experience
- You care about people
- You create environments intentionally
I didn't set out to host 3,500 people. But I did set out to create a space where people feel something. Because great hospitality isn't about the home. It's about the feeling you create inside it. And people always come back for that.
